CAMPING
As any true camper knows, camping is a fantastic way to experience a country and culture. Camping has become increasingly popular in the Faroe Islands in recent years, also among locals.
Because there are no public wildernesses or common areas in the Faroes, camping is only permitted at designated campsites. Furthermore, it is not permitted to spend nights in camping cars along roads, at rest stops, laybys, or viewpoints.
Because of the unpredictable nature of the Faroese weather, it is advisable to have sturdy, waterproof, and windproof equipment.
